QTI-Bee-PoC Workshop: Bee ID

  • GLADT e.V Lützowstraße 28, Seminarraum 2, 2 OG 10785 Berlin Germany (map)

QTI-Bee-PoC Workshop Series for QTIBIPoC (in English)

1/2: Bee ID workshop

Many of us know that bees are important for the environment, but would you be able to tell a bee from a wasp?

In this bee workshop with Nicky, you will learn how to identify the bees around you, why we need these pollinators, and how to help them. Weather permitting, we will go outside for around 30 minutes.

Connecting with our plant and insect world can be a very empowering experience - however, as racialised people who are also queer, inter and/or trans, spaces in nature and related knowledge are not always (easily) accessible to us. This workshop series aims to spark an interest in the bees around us, and collectively gather and make visible to us the knowledge we already have.

For: QTIBIPOC – Black, Indigenous and People of Colour who are also Trans, Inter and/or Queer

Language: spoken English.

Participants: There are up to 8 spaces available.

Registration: info@gladt.de

The space including toilets are wheelchair accessible.

Please come tested, otherwise we will also have COVID tests available on site. Please also come with a mask, and we will check in together what our needs are/what we are comfortable with in regards to this on the day.

There will be fidget toys and colouring books available. Each workshop includes a 15min break, and you are always welcome to take longer breaks if needed.

You can attend just one individual workshop or both. It is not necessary to have gone to the first workshop to attend the second.
